Traditional - This type of course will consist of student choice in-person or online lectures, pre-recorded lectures, and in-person mandatory practical skill days.
Hybrid - This type of course will consist of pre-recorded lectures, in-person/online review sessions, and in-person mandatory practical skill days. Amount of class days may vary on a weekly basis.
Partial Hybrid - This type of course will consist of a mix of live student choice lectures, pre-recorded lectures, in-person/online review sessions, and in-person mandatory practical skill days.

What is an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)?:
The primary focus of an EMT is to provide basic emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This individual possesses the basic knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation, and functions as part of a comprehensive EMS response under medical oversight. An EMT performs interventions with the basic equipment typically found on an ambulance and is a link from the scene to the emergency healthcare system.
About the Program:
SeniorCare EMS Is recruiting individuals to start an Emergency Medical Services career by offering a free EMT class to prospective students. SeniorCare EMS is one of the largest EMS providers in NYC and Long Island. Approved candidates will be trained and certified as a NYS Emergency Medical Technician. Upon completion the EMT will work on the frontlines providing emergency treatment to the sick and injured.
The right candidates must:
Be at least 17 years old to start the course, But 18 by the time the course is completed.
Have proof of a HS diploma/GED or Higher
Valid Driver’s License Required
Successfully complete the pre-employment screening which includes motor vehicle and criminal background checks, drug testing and a physical agility test.
After successful completion of the course, the employee will be eligible to take a written and skills test offered by the NYS Department of Health (NYS EMT-B) and will be required to work for SeniorCare EMS.
Upon receipt of the state EMT certification, employees will be assigned their full-time shift. They will also qualify for benefits including:
$19 an Hour (1 Year Contract)
